Moorea
The volcanic peaks of Moorea rise like teeth around the tranquil waters of Opunohu Bay and Cook’s Bay. The slopes are covered with pineapple plantations, and thatched resort bungalows border the crystalline lagoons. The island is often likened to James Michener’s mythical Bali Hai.
